Milan, 1995: Press

Unfortunately, when Cats opened in Milan, the net was still not so developed, so it is not easy to find news and evidences. At the moment the only "official" source I found is a short paragraph, which was published on an Italian newspaper called L'Unità. The paragraph refers to an article inside the newspaper (I'm trying to find it too), where the journalist explains his negative opinion about Cats... here is the English translation.

The musical is in Milan
Sounds and steps of Webber's "Cats"
A lot of worldliness and a good success, but without a real triumph, for Cats. The myth-musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber, author of Jesus Christ Superstar too, opened in Milan: feline steps, but also classical, tap dancing and jazz ones, for the cat-dancers who sing and act. A very "anglosaxon" musical, without the energy of American ones, soft and childish.
